Christopher and I met at 19 when our two best friends had started dating. 4 and a half years – and one daughter later – Christopher popped the question down by the beach!

When planning and picking out my wedding gown, my first stop was Jenny and Gerry’s as they have the largest range in SA. After trying on what I thought I had wanted, and not really loved, my consultant Mary suggested a brand new, unopened Maggie Sottero gown with over skirt. At first I thought this was way out of my comfort zone, as I had originally wanted something very plain. But after trying it on, it was love at first sight!

I can’t thank the team enough for making me feel welcome and beautiful in my gown, and showing me that just because I’m a mum, doesn’t mean I can’t have the dress of my dreams.

Our day was perfect! I couldn’t have planned it any better. Yes, there were some minor hiccups like me arriving earlier than expected and having our first dance song play at the beginning of the night. But apart from that, everything went off without a hitch. And most importantly, I didn’t fall over walking down the stairs at the ceremony haha! I just wish the night lasted longer….

Luke and I have been together for 12 years. After postponing our initial wedding date in March 2022 due to covid on 11/02/2023 we finally got married, the wedding was at home on our property. We had a large clear marquee with fairy lights, sitting just under the old gum trees. The day was magical, and went perfectly.

My dress was from Jenny & Gerry’s Bridal, a Zavana Couture, my dress was stunning and comfortable. When ordering my dress I asked for the back to be altered, nothing from the Jenny & Gerry’s team was too much trouble.
