We first met at a group fitness class for parents and children — an unexpected beginning that turned out to be the start of everything. Not long after, we decided to catch up for a coffee and take a walk through the park.

Barry pulled up on his motorbike, hoping to make a smooth arrival — but the bike had other plans. It slipped off the kickstand and rolled down the hill. We both couldn’t stop laughing, and somehow, that moment of chaos broke the ice perfectly. From that day on, we were inseparable.

When it came time to choose a wedding location, I picked a spot that held a special place in my heart. While I was living in South Australia for uni, I used to run up that hill, always drawn to the beauty of the nature that surrounded it. It felt like the perfect place to begin our next chapter.

I created the decorations myself, including the floral arbor — a labor of love that added a personal touch to the day. It was funny seeing hikers stop to take photos under it.

It was a beautiful day in every sense — full of love, laughter, and sunlight — and best of all, I got to marry my best friend.
