After being together for 15 years and having 4 year old twins, we finally decided we wanted to get married… but we wanted to do it without the fuss and fanfare of a full wedding. So we quietly planned an elopement through Luxe Elopements in Byron Bay, and headed interstate with our immediate family and a couple of friends in February, where we stayed for a week long holiday on the Gold Coast.

Two days after arriving, we travelled to Cabarita Beach just over the border of NSW for the most amazing and relaxed ceremony in the most breathtaking location – everything was taken care of for us, we just had to turn up. It was perfect and exactly what we wanted, better than we could have ever imagined. We followed the ceremony with drinks at the Langham Hotel back on the Gold Coast and spent the night in a beautiful ocean front room before enjoying the rest of the week on holiday with our family.

I had a faint idea of the kind of dress I wanted, but the thought of trying on a whole heap of different dresses was not appealing to me at all. I made an appointment at Jenny & Gerry’s and saw Rose – she was so friendly and helpful, and she actually picked out my eventual dress for me after I did a pretty poor job of describing what I think I wanted! She made the process quick and with zero fuss just as I’d asked, and it really took all stress out of it. I went with the ‘Omana’ dress by Miss Chloe Bridal and had SO many comments about it. It was the perfect beach wedding dress with a boho vibe, and I felt so comfortable in it. I couldn’t recommend Rose and all the staff at Jenny & Gerry’s more – thank you so much
